Pomp'd Pony

Gather the section of hair at the crown of your head and pin with a clip to keep it out of the way.

Pull the hair that's left into a low pony.

To get some volume up top, use a 1-1.5 inch curling iron to get some big curls. Secure each one with a clip to set the curl.

While letting your curls set, sweep back the bottom section of hair and secure it in a medium-high ponytail.

Spray your brush with hairspray first and use a little gel to smooth away additional fly aways on the sides and underneath your pony.

Unpin the curls on top and loosen them with your fingers and pull them back loosely to create a poof.

Twist and pin it just above the ponytail, pushing forward for added drama.

Take the remaining hair from the top to twist and wrap around the ponytail then use pins to secure it.

Define your pomp using a rat-tail comb or your fingers.

For an extra sleek ponytail, finish with a flat iron and some hairspray.

Add a festive accessory, for the perfect finishing touch.
